
Women’s Rowing Wraps Races Against Delaware, Holy Cross, Rhode Island

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Boston University women's rowing program faced Delaware, Holy Cross and Rhode Island in a set of races on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday morning.
The Second Varsity 4, coxed by sophomore Molly Bernardo and stroked by junior Ruthie Wix, got things started with a dominant 7:48.3 to take the top spot in the first race of the day. The boat crossed the line over 12 seconds ahead of second place Rhode Island. In the afternoon, the 2V4 continued to dominate. The boat finished in 7:47.3 to take first out of six crews, completing its perfect day.
The Third Varsity 8 raced in the Second Varsity 8 competition. The first session boat, coxed by freshman Nina Wasluk and stroked by freshman Ella Gill, finished in 7:13.8, good for fourth. The second session boat, coxed by sophomore Laura Leong and stroked by Gill, also finished fourth in 7:22.4, well ahead of Holy Cross.
The Terriers will be back on the water on Sunday, May 3, when they travel for the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass.
