Women’s Rowing Set for Eastern Sprints

BOSTON – The Boston University's women's rowing program is set to compete at the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond on Sunday (May 5) in Worcester, Mass.
The 51st edition of the sprints will air live on Overnght.com which requires a paid subscription. Live results can be found on the Quinsigamond Rowing Association's website. Fans looking to attend the regatta can visit the Women's Sprints page on the IRA's website using this link. Entries can be found here.

- 8:40 a.m. – Second Varsity 4+ – Heat 2
- 8:50 a.m. – Varsity 8+ – Heat 1
- 10:00 a.m. – Second Varsity 8+ – Heat 3
- 10:10 a.m. – Varsity 4+ – Heat 1
- 10:50 a.m. – Third Varsity 8+ – Heat 2

- 2:40/2:50 p.m. – Second Varsity 4+
- 3:10-3:30 p.m. – Third Varsity 8+
- 3:40-4:00 p.m. – Varsity 4+
- 4:10-4:30 p.m. – Second Varsity 8+
- 4:40-5:00 p.m. – Varsity 8+
LAST TIME OUT
- BU's Third Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 4+ last competed just last weekend on Lake Quinsigamond against Delaware, Holy Cross, Rhode Island and the BU Lightweight Rowing team.
- The Second Varsity 4+ won both its races by significant margins out in Worcester.
- The top BU boats last competed earlier in April against No. 9 Brown and Columbia.
- The Second Varsity 8+ was named the Patriot League Boat of the Week following its efforts against the Ivy League crews.
THE FIELD
- The Terriers will face 11 different opponents in its heats before moving on to the finals, two of which are Patriot League foes and four of which are ranked.
- The Second Varsity 4+ will race against Rutgers, Dartmouth, Northeastern, UMass and Boston College in the morning.
- The Varsity 4+ will compete against Brown, Northeastern, Bucknell and Temple for its heat.
- The Third Varsity 8+ will see Rutgers, Dartmouth, Northeastern, Boston College, UMass and Temple in its heat.
- Harvard-Radcliffe, Rhode Island, Temple and Holy Cross will compete against BU's Second Varsity 8+ in its morning race.
- The Varsity 8+ crew will race Brown, Northeastern, Boston College and Temple in its heat.
- No. 9 Brown
- No. 12 Rutgers
- No. 21 Harvard-Radcliffe
- No. 23 Dartmouth
2025 EASTERN SPRINTS
- BU had two boats make the Grand Finals in the Varsity 4+ and Second Varsity 4+ races.
- The Terriers placed sixth and fifth, respectively, in those races.
- The Varsity 8+, Third Varsity 8+ and Third Varsity 4+ all won their Petite Finals.
LOOKING AHEAD
- This will be BU's last races before the Patriot League Championship on May 15.
- The championship will be held on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.
