BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing program will race in its only home event of the season on Saturday when it faces Northeastern in the Council Cup on the Charles River. The first race of the day is scheduled for ____.

- 7:10 a.m. – Third Varsity 8
- 7:30 a.m. – Second Varsity 4
- 8:00 a.m. – Varsity 4
- 8:30 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
- 8:50 a.m. – Second Varsity 8
- In last year's iteration of the Council Cup, BU finished 1.4 seconds behind Northeastern as the Huskies took the cup win.
- BU placed ahead of Northeastern in the Varsity 4+, Second Varsity 4+ and Third Varsity 4+ races, with the 1V4 margin of victory being just 0.4 seconds.
- The Huskies opened their season at the Doc Hosea Invite.
- Northeastern faced off against No. 12 Syracuse, No. 9 Virginia and No. 3 Yale.
- BU opened the season with an eight-for-eight sweep in its races against Cornell, Colgate and George Washington.
- The Varsity 8+ boat received an honorable mention for Patriot League Boat of the Week.
- The Terriers have six race days on their schedule, featuring three days of head-to-head competition and two postseason regattas.
- BU will face Cornell, George Washington, Colgate, Northeastern, Columbia, Brown, Rhode Island and Delaware in head-to-head races.
- The Terriers will also compete in the Eastern Sprints and the Patriot League Championship at the end of the season.
- BU will look to three-peat in the Patriot League Championship on May 15 to try and qualify for the NCAA Championships.
LOOKING AHEAD
- Following this weekend, BU will race in Leonia, N.J. against Columbia and Brown on Sunday, April 12.
