Manjunath Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Senior Annika Manjunath of the Boston University women's golf team was named the Patriot League Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after leading the Terriers at the ECU Ironwood Invitational.
Manjunath turned in her second under-par round of the season on Tuesday, carding a 1-under 71 to race up 16 spots on the leaderboard and finish in a tie for 17th in the 89-golfer field. The senior posted a plus-9 225 (80-74-71) for the tournament, improving her score each day.
Manjunath, who has the second-best scoring average on the team this year at 78.89, was one of only nine players to post an under-par score on Tuesday as she posted three birdies and two bogeys.
This is the first weekly Patriot League honor of Manjunath's career.
BU will return to action on Saturday when it plays the first two rounds of the Rutgers Invitational.
