
Five Terriers Set to Compete at NCAA East First Round

BOSTON — Five members of the Boston University track & field program are set to compete at the NCAA East First Rounds at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
The meet will begin Wednesday, May 27 and concluding Saturday, May 30 and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Senior Peace Omonzane qualified for the long jump and triple jump, senior Ellie Roan qualified for the hammer throw, senior Owen Faulha qualified for the javelin throw, senior Freddy Collins qualified for the 5000m and junior Adrienne Buettner-Cable qualified for the 10000m.

This will be Omonzane's third consecutive trip to the NCAA East First Rounds. She finished 21st in the triple jump with a 12.66m jump and took 29th in the long jump with a 5.94m jump in 2025. She enters the meet ranked 15th in the NCAA East Region in the long jump with a 6.35m jump and is 21st in the NCAA East Region in the triple jump with a 13.09m attempt.
Roan is also making her third trip to the NCAA East First Rounds. In 2025, she finished 17th after being seeded into the second flight, hitting 60.59m. Her mark of 62.52m this season ranks 14th in the NCAA East Region entering the meet.
Faulha will make his second appearance at the NCAA East First Rounds. In 2025, he finished 39th, reaching 60.51m in the event. Entering the meet, he ranks 48th in the NCAA East Region with a 64.54m throw.
Collins is back at the NCAA East First Rounds for the third consecutive year, running the 5000m. He ran a 13:40.21 at the Penn Relays in the event and ranks 31st in the NCAA East Region entering the meet.
Buettner-Cable is making her first appearance at the NCAA East First Rounds. She ran a 33:57.51 time in the 10000m at the Penn Relays to qualify. Her time is 56th in the NCAA East Region this year.
