DARTMOUTH, Mass. - Thanks to a pair of top-six finishes, the Boston University women's cross country won the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers were the only squad to boast five scorers in the top 25 and finished with 63 points, well clear of second-place UMass Lowell (98). This is the second straight year that BU has claimed first at this meet.
Graduate student Samantha Seabury led the Terriers with a third-place finish, completing the 6K course in 21:25.24. Senior Abby Waddington was not far behind, posting a time of 21:29.93 to place sixth. Graduate student Olivia Dodds (22:03.11) and freshman Jessica Abbott (22:05.87) were 14th and 15th, respectively. Senior Molly Kiley rounded out the Terriers' top five with a 25th-place finish, crossing the line in 22:17.98, while classmate Abi Hahn placed 27th with a time of 22:28.11.Â
BU will return to the course next Saturday when the Terriers compete at the Princeton Fall Meadows Challenge.
