Terriers Host BU Invite

BOSTON — The Boston University men's tennis team hosted the BU Invite over the weekend at the Daly Tennis Courts.

Freshman Xiaoyao (David) Dai made his debut and won 6-0, 6-2 at singles over an opponent from Stonehill, while falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (8) in another match. Senior Adrian Quiros, junior Andrew Andea and junior Ege Topkoc also competed at singles but did not win their matches.

Dai and Andea teamed up for a doubles win, besting opponents from Hamilton 7-6 (5), while falling to a duo from Stonehill. Sophomore David Asenov made an appearance as a tandem with Quiros in doubles, but dropped matches to opponents from Babson and Stonehill.

Next up, the Terriers will play in the ITA New England Regional hosted by Harvard in Allston, Massachusetts, beginning Oct. 8.
