WEST POINT, N.Y. — The Boston University men's tennis team was defeated by Army West Point on Sunday afternoon, 4-0.

The Terriers (7-12, 3-3 PL) dropped doubles flights one and two, but battled during the singles rounds despite being hampered by injuries. At third singles, junior Adrian Quiros was headed to a third set in a 2-6, 6-4 match when the Black Knights clinched the match. At second singles, senior Jakob Esterowitz was at 3-6, 6-6, but it went unfinished.

The Terriers retired at sixth and first singles and dropped the fifth flight.

BU will now await its opponent in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League tournament. The Terriers sit in fourth place with a 3-3 Patriot League record, but there are more matches to be played across the league. The quarterfinal matches will begin on Friday, April 24 at Lehigh University.
