
Men's Tennis Set to Begin Patriot League Championship Journey Against Bucknell

BOSTON – The Boston University men's tennis team is set to begin its Patriot League Championship journey on Friday (April 24) at Lehigh's Ulrich Tennis Center.
The Terriers, seeded fourth, are set to play defending Patriot League champion Bucknell in the first round at 11 a.m. on Friday. They head into the postseason with a 7-12 record and a 3-3 record in the Patriot League.
Should the Terriers win, they would play the winner of top-seeded Lehigh and either the eighth or ninth seed in Holy Cross or Lafayette, respectively, in the semifinal round on Saturday, April 25.

- Sophomore Payton Jim-On has gone 3-1 in Patriot League singles play and has won four of his last five matches, with three of the four wins at second singles.
- Freshman David Asenov took over the top spot in the lineup midway through the season and has posted a 7-9 record overall, including three wins at the top spot.
- Junior Adrian Quiros has won three Patriot League matches, two at the third position and one at the fourth position. He also had three conference wins in doubles
- Sophomore Andrew Andea accrued a 6-5 record in dual matches this season, including a 3-1 conference record.
- Senior Jakob Esterowitz won three singles matches at the first spot during the dual season.
- The Bison went 11-11 this season and 2-3 in Patriot League play.
- Reigning Patriot League Player of the Year Amar Tahirovic went 4-1 in Patriot League singles play and 17-3 overall in dual match play, all at the top spot.
- Liam Kilmer went 10-3 at the second spot, while Adam Stavrakas went 4-4 at that spot.
- Bucknell won 11 of 20 doubles points in dual matches this season.
