Terriers Drop Match at Navy, 7-0

ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Boston University men's tennis team had some close matches, but ultimately fell, 7-0, to the Navy Midshipmen on Sunday morning.
The Terriers (5-10, 1-1 PL) had two singles matches go to a third-set tiebreak and a handful that included 7-5 finishes despite being blanked. Sophomore Payton Jim-On fell, 7-5, 6-2, 0-1 (8) at third singles and junior Adrian Quiros lost, 6-4, 2-6, 0-1 (7) at fifth singles, marking the two closest Terriers to a win.
BU could not win a match in doubles, but Jim-On and senior Jakob Esterowitz were tied, 5-5, at first doubles when the doubles point was clinched.
BU will next play Loyola Maryland on Monday, March 23, at 2 p.m., closing out a three-match road trip in the DMV area.
