AS A JUNIOR IN 2006-07
Indoor: Opened the season placing seventh in the 500 meters with a time of 1:07.62 and was part of the third-place 4x400-meter relay team (3:27.64) at the New Balance Invitational... Finished tenth in the 400 meters (51.37) at the Harvard Invitational... On Feb. 5, tied for eleventh in the 55 meters (7.03) and took sixth in the 200 meters (23.30)... During the America East Indoor Championships, was part of the third-place 4x400-meter relay team (3:18.79).
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2005-06
Indoor: Placed first in his section in the 200 meters with a time of 22.87 seconds on Feb. 6... Finished 42nd (22.70) out of 125 runners in the 200 during the Valentine Meet on Feb. 11.
Outdoor: Placed fifth in the 100 meter (11.85) at the UConn Invitational on April 22... Also competed in the 200 meters, finishing sixth with a time of 23.40.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2004-05
Was injured in November and red-shirted the season.
BEFORE BOSTON UNIVERSITY
Graduated from Albuquerque Academy... Broke AA[apos]s freshman 400 record in 2001... In 2002, broke sophomore records in the 400, 200, and 100 and set a school record in the 400 leg of the sprint medley (51.00)... Helped win state medley relay... As a junior, anchored a state record-setting 4x100 team and set school records in 4x400, medley relay, and sprint relay... Was named second team All-City in 100 and 200 meters... Participated in the Great Southwest meet in the 4x400 in 2004... Broke school records in the 4x400 and 4x200 and earned team award... Was a member of three state championship teams from 2002-04 at AA... Named captain his junior and senior years... Was captain of AA[apos]s cross country team his senior year.

Son of Tom and Michele Buchanan... Mother was an Olympic alternate for USA swimming and father won Western United States archery championship... Enrolled in the University[apos]s College of Engineering... Born July 3, 1986.
