In alignment with our vision of world-class leadership programming for BU student-athletes, the Bloom Family Leadership Academy (BFLA) is a selective developmental and innovative experience to advance the person, performer and professional. Content and application are grounded in key competencies (skill sets) to support student-athlete leadership, performance and well-being.
Structure
In alignment with departmental goals, academy facilitators represent a collaborative model of in-house development, including an inaugural BU Faculty-in-Residence program with the Questrom School of Business. The backgrounds of our dynamic leadership team encompass expertise in athletics, business, leadership development, organizational behavior, experiential learning, team building & culture, psychology, management, intrapersonal & interpersonal relationships and sport performance.

Participating in a shared learning process and challenging oneself
Transferring work in the classroom to sport and team settings; completing manageable pre- and post-session work
