Grace Hollowell was named to the newly created position of assistant coach of women's lightweight rowing in August 2013.

Hollowell joined the Terriers' staff after serving as the head novice coach at Smith College in 2011-12, leading Smith's novices to a top 5 finish at the ECAC championships. Hollowell served as the assistant varsity coach at Smith during the 2012-13 season. Prior to that she served as volunteer assistant coach for Harvard/Radcliffe lightweight rowing in the Spring of 2011. Hollowell has also coached for Bromfield and Saratoga Rowing.

In addition to her coaching experience at Smith, Hollowell also served as a teaching fellow and lecturer in exercise and sport science at Smith from 2011-13.

The Ann Arbor, Mich. native recently received her M.S. degree from Smith College and is a 2010 graduate of Harvard University, where she rowed on the lightweight team for four years and was named the team captain and MVP her senior year.
