Former Boston University standout Tahari James is in her second season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2010-11.

One of the most accomplished jumpers in BU history, James holds Terrier records in both indoor and outdoor long jump and triple jump. She is also a member of BU's record-holding outdoor 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.

A two-time America East Field Performer of the Year, James earned indoor and outdoor All-America distinction in the triple jump as a senior. She also competed in the triple jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials and finished 14th.

James captured 12 America East individual championships during her career and participated at four NCAA championships, finishing ninth in the triple jump as a senior. She was also a member of four America East indoor championship squads.

In 2007, James was awarded the University's Mildred Barnes Award, presented annually to Boston University's top female athlete.
