December 10, 2001 | Men's Basketball
The injury was sustained in the second half of B. U.'s 61-49 win at Holy Cross on Dec. 1. After sitting out the Terriers' next two games, it was decided that Turner would undergo season-ending surgery in the next few weeks to repair the shoulder. He is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the beginning of the 2002-03 season.
Turner is the Terriers' leading scorer, averaging 17.5 points per contest. He was selected as the America East Spalding Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 25 after scoring 31 points in a home win against St. Peter's on Nov. 25.
At the time of his injury, he was the Terriers' best shooter, connecting on 56.3 percent of his field goals (40-for-71) and 50 percent of his three-pointers (22-for-44).
The Terriers have a 4-4 record and will host Dartmouth at Case Gymnasium on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Game time is 7 p.m.
