BOSTON - Boston University defender Liz Eberhart (Ellicott City, MD) was honored by the America East as the Women's Lacrosse Defender of the Week after her performance in the Terriers' 16-7 loss to Ohio State.
Eberhart recorded team-highs of five caused turnovers and four ground balls against the 4-0 Buckeyes. The sophomore also tallied a draw control.
On the season, Eberhart leads the team in caused turnovers with seven and is tied for first on the team in ground balls with six.
An America East All-Rookie Team selection last season, Eberhart has started in all three games in 2002 and has become one of B.U.'s most reliable defenders.
Eberhart and the rest of the Terriers (1-2) will look to snap their two-game skid when they travel to UMBC on Friday to take on the Retrievers. Game time is 3:30 p.m. at UMBC Stadium.
