July 8, 2003 | Men's Ice Hockey
A total of 150 Terrier athletes have been named to the America East Winter-Spring Academic Honor Roll after achieving a grade-point average of 3.0. In all, 1,180 students from the nine member institutions were recognized, according to Conference commissioner Chris Monasch.
Of the Terrier total, 76 athletes played during the winter season, while 74 played in the spring.
Men's track had the largest number both in the winter and spring, as 23 Terriers earned Honor Roll status each during the winter and spring. Women's track was next with 19 during each of the two seasons. Each of the track performers who were honored in the winter also received the Honor Roll recognition for the spring.
In addition to the winter indoor track teams, there were 15 women swimmers who achieved the 3.0-or-better average, while there were 12 men swimmers, four men's basketball players and three from the women's basketball team.
During the spring season, there were 10 student-athletes recognized from the women's lacrosse team, six each from men's golf, softball, and men's tennis, while there were four from the women's tennis team.
