Jean Named America East Co-Rookie of the Week

BOSTON - Following a 14-point performance in her first collegiate game against Saint Joseph's, freshman guard Corinne Jean (Victoriaville, QUE) was named America East Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, Nov. 22. Jean shares the award with Northeastern's Shaleyse Smallwood.
Jean scored a game-high 14 points, shooting 5-for-11 from the field, including 3-for-4 from three-point range, in the Terriers 51-49 loss to the Hawks in a Pre-Season WNIT game on Nov. 12. Coming off the bench, Jean saw 25 minutes of action while grabbing three rebounds and dishing out one assist.
The 6-foot-1 guard joined classmate Cheri Raffo (Morristown, NJ) in the backcourt, as the two combined for 24 of the team's 49 points. Raffo contributed 10 points and three rebounds in 36 minutes.
B.U. (0-1, 0-0) will look for its first win of the 2004-05 season when it plays at Long Island University (0-0, 0-0) on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 7:00 p.m. The Terriers host their first home game of the season when they take on Wagner (0-2, 0-0) at Case Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1:00 p.m.
