BOSTON – Boston University men's ice hockey junior goaltender John Curry (Shorewood, Minn.) earned his third Hockey East weekly award of the season, as he was today named the Pure Hockey Defensive Player of the Week for his outstanding efforts last weekend in a pair of wins over No. 1 Boston College and Massachusetts.
Curry ran his and the team's win streak to seven straight by stopping 30-of-33 shots faced in a 4-3 win at top-ranked Boston College and 25-of-26 in a 3-1 triumph over Massachusetts. During his seven-game streak, he boasts a 1.58 goals-against average, .940 save percentage and two shutouts.
