
Ryan Named 2005 America East Cross Country Scholar Athlete

BOSTON – Boston University junior Marisa Ryan (Farmington, Conn.) was named the 2005 America East women's cross country Scholar-Athlete. She was one of 261 student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, acknowledging a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the most recent athletic season.
Ryan placed second in the America East cross country championship and went on to place 14th at the NCAA Regional. Most recently, Ryan set a new America East record in the 3,000 meters at the America East indoor track and field championships on Saturday, Feb. 18. She also holds the university's 3,000 meter steeple chase record.
Ryan is enrolled in Boston University's seven year medical program and is minoring in Art History.
