Men's Tennis Posts Victories Over Hartford, Monmouth

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. and BOSTON - The Boston University men's tennis team had a successful weekend, posting a 5-2 road victory over Hartford on Saturday before recording a 7-0 shutout at home against Monmouth on Sunday. With the wins, the Terriers improve to 8-3 on the season.
On Saturday, the Terriers improved to 4-1 in America East play, sweeping the doubles matches and winning four of the six singles matches against the Hawks.
Freshman Miron Nissim and sophomore Giulio Gallarotti each posted 6-0, 6-0 victories at third and fifth singles, respectively, while junior Barrett Wolf returned from injury and teamed up with sophomore Jared Kobren to record an 8-2 win at first doubles.
Against Monmouth, all five of the singles matches were won by BU in straight sets and the Terriers' doubles teams only lost a combined three games.
The Terriers will return to action on Thursday, March 23, when they compete against Harvard's JV squad.
