EAST HARTFORD, Conn. - Three tough super-tiebreaker losses in singles matches proved to be the difference, as the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to Connecticut on Thursday. The Terriers fell to 9-7 on the year with the loss.
The match started in Storrs at the UConn Tennis Courts but was moved to the East Hartford Racquet Club due to rain. With limited court availability, the No. 4 singles match was not contested and the top doubles match was suspended once UConn had clinched the overall point with two wins.
BU's lone win came at the top singles spot, where sophomore Jared Kobren took the place of injured junior Barrett Wolf and posted a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Sho Sato.
