Swimming and Diving Sweeps Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Boston University swimming and diving team swept Binghamton on Saturday afternoon in Vestal, N.Y. The women's team won 11-of-13 events to cruise to a 162-81 victory, while the men's team edged the Bearcats, 123-120, to extend their unbeaten streak to three meets.
Ben Kaiser picked up the Terriers' first win in the grueling 1,000 free with a time of 10 minutes, 1.75 seconds. Kyle Ernst placed second in the event with a time of 10:03.15. Arik Seiler kept the momentum in Boston University's favor with a first-place finish in the 200 free (1:45.47).
After Binghamton took the next two victories, Andre Watson and Tanner Knorr went 1-2 on the three-meter boards with scores of 344.48 and 308.25, respectively.
Seiler turned in another first-place finish in the 100 free (48.03) to earn the squad nine crucial points. Bryon Kallert and Jeff Wurm took top honors in the 200 back with times of 1:56.94 and 1:57.33, respectively.
Ben Kaiser, Mark Nakanishi and Greg Dierksen swept first, second and third in the 500 free and Andre Watson claimed victory on the one meter to help seal the victory for the Terriers. The 400 free relay team of Nate Everett, Wills Baker, Tyson Slesnick and Brett McKensie earned the final two points for the Terriers with a third-place finish.
