WAKEFIELD, Mass. - After tallying seven points in a weekend series at Vermont, senior forward Bryan Ewing (Plymouth, Mass.) has been named the CCM/RBK Hockey East Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. This is the first time in Ewing's career that he has earned the weekly honor.
On Friday, Ewing recorded a career-high four points in a 9-1 rout at Vermont, scoring a goal and adding three assists. In a 5-4 loss the following night, the senior added three more helpers to cap a seven-point weekend.
Ewing is enjoying the most productive offensive stretch of his career, having tallied three goals and 10 assists during his current six-game point streak. He leads all Hockey East players in points with 15 (5g, 10a) and his average of 1.36 points per game is tied for 11th in the country.
Ewing and the Terriers will play their first non-conference home game of the season on Tuesday (Nov. 20) when they welcome cross-town rival Harvard to Agganis Arena for a 7:30 p.m. contest.
