Meinhardt Earns CoSIDA Academic All-District I Accolades

BOSTON – Senior tri-captain Katie Meinhardt has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District I First Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America. With her inclusion on the first team, Meinhardt, a senior on the women’s basketball team, is now eligible for national Academic All-America honors.
Meinhardt is currently working on her Master of Science in Administrative Studies, after completing her undergraduate studies with a degree in Business Administration. In order to be eligible for COSIDA Academic All-American status, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve, maintain a grade point average of 3.20, and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing.
Meinhardt is having a career season in her final year at BU, having surpassed 1,000 career points, and currently standing in eighth place on BU’s all-time scoring list with 1,126 points. She is averaging a team-high 12.1 points per game, the highest average in a single season in her career.
