
Warsofsky Named Alternate Captain for World Juniors

Sophomore defenseman David Warsofsky has been named an alternate captain for the U.S. National Junior Team, which begins competition at the World Junior Championship on Saturday (Dec. 26) against Slovakia at 8 p.m. in Saskatoon, Sask. The game will be broadcast live on the NHL Network.
Warsofsky, a former captain of the U.S. National Under-18 Team, will serve as an alternate captain along with John Carlson and Jordan Schroeder. Derek Stepan has been elected team captain for the tournament, which runs through Jan. 5.
