
Quinnipiac Defeats Men's Tennis, 5-2

HAMDEN, Conn. - James Bernstein and Marcus Vanberkel led the Boston University men's tennis team with singles victories, but Quinnipiac proved too tough an opponent with a 5-2 victory. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 7-2, while the Terriers drop to 4-10.
Quinnipiac won the first two doubles contests, but Bill Kring and Alex Green prevented the sweep at No. 3 with an 8-5 win over Charlie Feldman/Dilon Karus.
In singles, Bernstein tied up the contest, as his opponent retired while trailing 4-1 in the first set. Vanberkel pulled out the other point for BU with a 7-6, 7-5 win at No. 6.
The Terriers continue their road trip with a visit to No. 52 Binghamton on Sunday at 10 a.m.
