
Men's Tennis Competes at ITA Northeast Regional

ITHACA, N.Y. - Sophomore Jesse Frieder won a singles match and the tandem of junior Josh Friedman and senior Michael Kopelman earned a victory to lead the Boston University men's tennis team at the ITA Northeast Regional, which was hosted by Cornell.
Earning a spot in the main singles draw, Friedman was eliminated by Harvard's Casey Macmaster, 6-4, 6-2. In doubles action though, he and Kopelman earned an 8-4 victory over Bryant's top team.
Advancing to the round of 32, they lost to the ninth-seeded team from Cornell, 8-3.
In other singles action, Frieder looked to earn a spot in the main draw. He won his first match over Buffalo's Alex Kalinin, 7-6(5), 6-3, but then lost to Marist's Joseph Dube, 6-3, 6-1.
The Terriers will next compete at Bryant on Sunday, Oct. 23. Action is set to start at 11 a.m.
