Teran Leads Terriers with Singles Flight Title at Quinnipiac Invitational

HAMDEN, Conn. - Freshman Emilio Teran rallied from a set down in all four matches to capture his flight in singles action and lead the Boston University men's tennis team at the three-day Quinnipiac Invitational.
After dropping the first set in each of his matches, Teran rebounded in the second set and super tiebreaker to finish with a perfect 4-0 singles record against opponents from Connecticut, Fairfield, Villanova and Quinnipiac in the 'B' flight.
He dropped his first match in the Doubles 'A' flight with sophomore Jesse Frieder, but they responded by winning the next three contests to capture the consolation bracket.
In the final match, they faced familiar faces in senior Michael Kopelman and junior Alex Hallenbeck and came away with an 8-5 victory.
In other singes action, senior Regis Chang dropped his first match but made it to the 'B' consolation final with two victories before falling to Quinnipiac's Corey Morgenstern.
The Terriers will next compete at the ITA Regionals in Ithaca, N.Y., starting on Friday, Oct. 14.
