After scoring a season-high 23 points to lead Boston University to its first win over Boston College since the 1989-90 season, junior Chantell Alford has been named GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

The guard shot 50.0 percent from the field (7-of-14) and matched a career-high with five three-pointers as the Terriers topped the Eagles, 70-62. The West Haven, Conn., native added six points, three assists and a steal to her stat line. She also went 4-for-4 from the charity stripe to improve her free throw percentage to 92.1, which ranks 13th in all of Division I.

The reigning America East Player of the Year currently ranks fourth in the conference with 13.5 points per game as well as fourth in three-point field goals per game (2.0). Alford is also second in the league in steals per game (2.6) and is shooting 38.5 percent from beyond the arc, which ranks fourth in the America East.
