After earning a shutout in his first home start, freshman goaltender Sean Maguire of the men's ice hockey team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Maguire stopped all 21 shots he faced to lead the Terriers to a 4-0 victory against St. Lawrence on Saturday at Agganis. He became the first BU goaltender in 12 years to record a shutout in his first home start, as Sean Fields achieved the feat back in 2000.

Maguire has won his past two starts and now boasts a 2.56 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage. He was also named Hockey East Rookie of the Week on Monday.
