
Men's Tennis Rolls Past Western Illinois, 7-0

Palm Springs, Calif. - Both senior Regis Chang and junior Alex Hallenbeck posted flawless singles victories, as the Boston University men's tennis team swept Western Illinois, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon during its Spring Break trip to California.
Winning all three doubles matches and six singles contests, the Terriers (1-10) dropped the Leathernecks to 2-7 on the season.
After earning the doubles point by a combined score of 24-8, the Terriers only lost one of 13 sets played. Hallenbeck posted his 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5, while Chang recorded an identical score at No. 6.
Freshman Emilio Teran, senior Michael Kopelman and sophomore Jesse Frieder earned their victories in straight sets, while junior Josh Friedman pulled out the No. 1 singles match with a super tie breaker, 7-5, 4-6, 10-2.
The Terriers will conclude their trip on Friday (March 16) against Gonzaga with action slated to begin at 12 p.m.
