Junior Josh Friedman received Most Valuable Player honors for the 2011-12 Boston University men's tennis team after helping the Terriers reach the semifinals of the America East tournament at the No. 1 singles and doubles spots.
At the end of the season, he received America East All-Conference Second Team honors for both singles and doubles.
Posting a 8-9 record at the top singles slot, Friedman picked up wins against UMBC's All-Conference First Team member Joseph Adewumi and Harvard's Jon Pearlman, a two-time All-Ivy League First Team honoree.
In doubles action, Friedman and Kopelman picked up wins against the top doubles teams from Army, Fairfield and Western Illinois along the way.
