
Terriers Claim 7-0 Win over Quinnipiac

BOSTON - Competing in its first match of the weekend at home, the Boston University men's tennis team swept through Quinnipiac, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon. Capturing all 12 sets played in singles action, the Terriers improve to 3-0, while the Bobcats fall to 1-4.
Senior Josh Friedman and sophomore Chanon Varapongsittikul teamed together for an 8-5 win at the No. 1 doubles spot before dropping a combined three games in the top two singles slots. Varapongsittikul earned a 6-1, 6-1 win over Sebastian Barbero, while Friedman claimed a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Fahoum Fahoum.
Junior Jesse Frieder and sophomore Emilio Teran also had similar success with an 8-6 doubles win at No. 2 before earning straight-set singles victories at No. 3 and 4, respectively.
Freshman Stefan Lemire helped senior Michael Kopelman complete the doubles sweep in the No. 3 spot with an 8-7(3) win before winning in straight sets at No. 5 singles. Freshman Eric Miller won the other singles match at No. 6.
The Terriers will return to action at the Track & Tennis Center on Sunday against Bryant at 12 p.m.
