
Terriers Participate in MIT Invitational

Sophomore Lucas Bombonatti led the Terriers with a perfect 2-0 record in singles, earning a 6-2, 7-5 victory against MIT's Eugene Oh and 6-3, 6-3 win over Bryant's Richard Sipala.
Classmate Jay Leelavanich also collected a pair of wins after dropping a hard-fought 3-6, 6-4, 10-8 decision to MIT's Kevin Wang. He rebounded with a dominating 6-1, 6-1 win against Bryant's Max Vogt and 2-6, 6-4, 10-8 victory over Harvard's Alex Steinroeder.
Sophomore Jake De Vries had the other singles win, beating MIT's Kenny Gea, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles, the matches were played best two-out-of-three sets with the Terriers facing one duo from MIT, Bryant and Harvard. BU dropped the first set in each of the contests by an identical score of 6-4 and won only one or two games in the second for three defeats.
