
No. 20 Terriers Host St. Thomas on Saturday

BOSTON - The No. 20 Boston University men's ice hockey team will hit the ice for the first time this season when it takes on St. Thomas (N.B.) for a preseason exhibition at Agganis Arena on Saturday (Oct. 4). The game, which starts at 4 p.m., will be streamed live for free on TerrierTV.
Saturday's contest marks the first-ever meeting between the Terriers and the Tommies, who are located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and play in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) conference.
David Quinn is set to start his second season as head coach for the Terriers and he welcomes back former BU captain Albie O'Connell as an assistant coach.
Junior defenseman Matt Grzelcyk will serve as captain of the Terriers this season and. is the first junior captain on the squad in four seasons. The teams lone seniors, Evan Rodrigues and Cason Hohmann, will be the team's assistant captains.
All 10 freshmen are expected to dress for Saturday's contest. The group was ranked the top recruiting class in the nation by both College Hockey News and Over the Boards.
The Terriers enter the 2014-15 campaign ranked 20th in the USCHO.com Division I Poll, which came out Monday (Sept. 29). BU was selected to finish sixth in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches' Poll and third in a poll conducted by the league's media and broadcasters.
