Terriers Conclude Fall Schedule at Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. - The Boston University men's tennis team concluded fall action this past weekend at the two-day Tufts Invitational in which the Terriers faced off against competitors from both the host school and Middlebury.
Senior Emilio Teran led the Terriers with two straight-set singles victories and a pair of doubles wins with junior Josh Hurd. After a tough 6-3, 6-3 loss to Middlebury's Jackson Frons, he rebounded with a 6-1, 7-6 victory over Middlebury's Timo Van Der Geest and 7-6, 6-3 win against Tufts' Garrett Weinstein.
Sophomore Jay Leelavanich also collected two singles victories. He first beat Tufts' Rob Jacobson, 6-2, 6-2 and ended the event with a 7-5, 6-1 win against Middlebury's Palmer Campbell.
During doubles play, sophomores Lucas Bombonatti and Jake De Vries posted victories against both Tufts and Middlebury.
The Terriers will next take to the courts on Saturday, Jan. 24 against Holy Cross in the start of dual action.
