BOSTON - After skating to a 1-1 draw in North Andover last night, the No. 2/3 Boston University men's ice hockey team and No. 18 Merrimack will wrap up their weekend home-and-home series on Saturday (Dec. 6) in the Terriers' final game at Agganis Arena in 2014. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
The first 3,000 fans will receive a set of BU Hockey trading cards and the annual Teddy Bear Toss will take place during the second intermission.
BU and Merrimack have played 105 times since first meeting on Dec. 11, 1964, and the Terriers hold a commanding 81-16-8 (.810) advantage. The Terriers and are 27-5-4 against the Warriors since the start of the 2004-05 season and are 15-2-2 in the 19 meetings at Agganis.
On Friday, junior Matt Lane tied the game early in the third period and classmate Matt O'Connor made 26 saves to help BU salvage the 1-1 draw at Lawler Rink.
Freshman Brett Seney, who leads the Warriors in goals (6) and assists (9), beat O'Connor high glove side from the right circle early in the second period to open the scoring.
The Terriers have outscored their opponents 29-5 in the third period this season but have only scored four first-period goals through their first 14 games.
