
Rodrigues Repeats as Hockey East Player of the Week

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - After leading the Terriers to a pair of wins over ranked teams, senior Evan Rodrigues was named the Hockey East Warrior Player of the Week for the second time in as many weeks, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Rodrigues recorded his first career hat trick in a 5-2 win at then No. 11/12 UMass Lowell on Friday. Late in the game, he added an assist for his 100th collegiate point.
In the first round of the 63rd Beanpot on Tuesday, Rodrigues assisted on two BU goals, including the double-overtime winner, in a 4-3 win over then-No. 6 Harvard.
His performances extended his point streak to 11 games, which is the longest current streak of any player in the country. During the run, Rodrigues has recorded a remarkable 27 points (7g, 20a). BU has won its past six games and Rodrigues has either scored or assisted on all six game-winning goals.
The No. 2/3 Terriers will return to action on Friday (Feb. 13) when they host New Hampshire in the opener of a home-and-home weekend series. The game, which starts at 7 p.m., will be televised by NESN.
