BOSTON - Juniors Remy Nolan and Ally Adams both notched hat tricks as part of a career-high four-point day, but the Boston University women's lacrosse team dropped an 11-8 decision to (RV) Navy on Saturday afternoon at Nickerson Field. The Midshipmen (10-1, 4-0 PL) remain perfect in Patriot League contests while the Terriers (4-4, 2-1 PL) drop their first conference outing of the season.

Nolan finished the day with a career-high four points, assisting on one of Adam's three markers and going 3-for-3 on free positions, while Mallory Collins scored a milestone goal, collecting her 100th career point on her second-half strike.

Caroline Meegan had an impressive 13 saves, two shy of her career-high, including four free position stops.

National points leader Loren Generi notched four goals and an assist for the Mids while Katie Gallagher collected three scores. Annie Foky made four saves including three in the second half in her 10th win of the season.

The Terriers jumped out to a fast start as Nolan converted back-to-back free-position shots before Ally Adams added a third to give the Terriers an early 3-0 advantage.

Navy responded with the next seven goals, however, to take an advantage that it would keep for the remainder of the contest. The Mids went on a 6-0 run to close the first half, making up for the three-goal deficit and creating a three-goal deficit of their own.

Generi would tally her final point of the game to open the second half but BU was finally able to come up with an answer as Nolan scored her third free position goal of the game.

Navy scored the next two, however, to reach its largest lead of the game, 9-4.

The differential did not deter the Terriers, however, who scored four of the next five goals to cut the Midshipman lead to just two goals. Adams scored two goals while Jill Horka got on the board for the first time in over a week within the stretch.

The shortened lead came with just under eight minutes to play but the Terrier offense was stifled for the remainder of the contest and BU couldn't pull off the comeback.

Boston University is back in action on Wednesday, March 25 when the Terriers travel to Yale for a 4 p.m. draw in New Haven, Conn.
