It will be the first time the teams have met since Nov. 25, 2006, when BU bested Yale, 2-1, in overtime at Agganis Arena. The all-time series between the two schools is tied at 30-30-3.
The Terriers are one of three Hockey East teams in the field of 16. Boston College and Providence were both slotted in the East Regional, which is hosted by Brown in Providence, Rhode Island.
