
Eight Former Terriers Gearing Up for NHL Playoffs

Boston University will be well-represented in this year's National Hockey League playoffs, which begin on Wednesday with four games that all involve at least one former Terriers.
Eight former BU standouts are currently on playoff rosters, a total that ranks first among Hockey East schools and tied for fourth amongst all NCAA programs. Michigan State and Wisconsin also have eight while Minnesota (10), Denver (9) and Michigan (9) lead the way.
Five of the eight playoff series will include at least one Terrier, including the St. Louis - Minnesota match-up in the Western Conference which pits Kevin Shattenkirk against Charlie Coyle.
In other series in the west, Colin Wilson and Nashville will take on Chicago while Vancouver, with Nick Bonino and Adam Clendening, faces Calgary.
In the Eastern Conference, Alex Chiasson and Eric Gryba will look to pull off an upset with Ottawa against Montreal. Brian Strait and the New York Islanders are matched up against Washington.
