Hi! I’m Sophie Beaudry, a new transfer at Boston University and this fall I will be starting my junior year. Furthermore, I’m an international student from Canada. My first language is French since I’m from the French part of Canada (Québec), but I started to learn English at a young age. I live 20 minutes away from Montréal where there is lots to do with your family and friends! Last week, my friends from high school and I went to play laser quest and it was really fun! I only get to see my really good friends from Montréal during the summer, but we always find a way to make up the year in a couple of weeks.
There is also a Six Flags near Montréal where I ALWAYS have a great time! My family and I went last weekend and the weather was perfect and there hardly any wait in the lines. My sister and I love rollercoasters and it’s basically impossible to stop us when we are on a roll!
My family is very important to me and there is not a day that passes by without thinking about them. My sister, Justine, just turned 18 years old and she goes to Dawson College in Montreal. We are both really different, but I could not live without her! This weekend, she got a new tattoo on her left arm of three roses linked together with some branches. Those three roses represented me, her and my mother all being connected to each other.
My mother is the most important woman in my life because I would not be here without her support and her help. Even though I am in the United States and she is in Canada, I will always rely on her for advice. Currently, I have the chance to be with them since I am home for three weeks before September. We have some plans for those weeks to come and I am very excited about them. My sister always dreamed about bungee jumping and she trying to convince me to jump with her! I’m not sure yet if I can survive that much adrenaline, but only time will tell!
