Simhadri Named PL Player of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - After collecting three singles victories, freshman Satyajit Simhadri of the Boston University men's tennis team has been named the Patriot League Corvias Male Tennis Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
Simhadri opened the spring break trip to South Carolina with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 win over Francis Marion at line 4 in singles action. He followed up with victories over The Citadel (6-3, 6-3) and College of Charleston (6-3, 3-6, 7-6). He rallied at line 3 to force a third set but came up just short to defending MEAC champion South Carolina State.
In doubles action, he teamed with classmate Jeff Chan for a 6-3 win in the No. 3 slot against The Citadel.
The Terriers will next host Holy Cross on Friday (March 18) at 3 p.m.
