BOSTON - Currently owning a perfect home record, the Boston University men's tennis team will host Holy Cross on Friday with a point up for grabs in the inaugural Turkpike Trophy all-sports competition featuring the two schools.
The Terriers (5-7) are 2-0 at the BU Track & Tennis Center this year with wins over Fairfield (5-2) and UConn (4-3). They will face a Crusader squad that owns a 2-2 record but will be competing in its first match of the spring.
Since joining the Patriot League in the summer of 2013, BU has blanked Holy Cross two times. The Terriers enter the matchup led by regining PL Player of the Week Satyajit Simhadri who went 3-1 in singles last week during the team's spring break trip in South Carolina.
Following the contest, BU will host Illinois State on Sunday with the Senior Day ceremony taking place prior to the 11 a.m. start time.
