
Terriers Break School Record in 4x100

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Highlighted by a record-breaking performance in the 4x100 relay, five members of the Boston University men's track & field team competed on Saturday at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Preliminary Championships hosted by the University of North Florida.
Senior David Lagerberg, junior Cameron Williams and sophomores Jordan Loveand Cameron Nurse competed in the 4x100 relay prelims and finished with a time of 39.96, breaking the BU school record time of 40.19 set back in 2015.
Despite the record-breaking performance, the 4x100 relay team was not able to qualify for the NCAA Championships, finishing in 16th place, just .07 seconds in back of 12th-place finisher and final qualifier Purdue who finished with a time of 39.89.
Later in the meet, Cameron Williams also competed in the 200 meter dash quarterfinals. The school record holder in the 200m posted a time of 20.63 and finished in 14th place, just .04 seconds from qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Williams advanced to the quarterfinal after running a 20.96 in Friday's prelims.
Also competing on Saturday, junior David Oluwadara closed out his sensational junior year in the triple jump, posting a mark of 15.71 (51' 6 1/2") meters and finishing in 18th place.
