January 16, 2017 | Men's Ice Hockey
| Highlights | Quinn/Oettinger Postgame
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman Jake Oettinger stopped all 34 shots he faced and the No. 3/4 Boston University men's ice hockey team scored on all three of its power plays to post a 3-0 road win and complete a weekend sweep of archrival and 10th-ranked Boston College on Monday evening.
THE RUNDOWN
Final Score: #3/4 Boston University 3, #10/10 Boston College 0
Records: BU (14-5-2, 7-2-2 Hockey East), BC (14-9-2, 9-3-1 Hockey East)

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman Patrick Curry potted a power-play goal from the right slot with one second remaining in a BC penalty at 7:26 of the middle period and that was the game's only goal until the final minute of play. Classmate Kieffer Bellows prevented a BC clear and got the puck to Curry for the opening marker.
- Skating on a 5-on-3 advantage, sophomore Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson scored from below the left circle to push the lead to 2-0 with 57.4 seconds remaining.
- With one more penalty to kill off, the Eagles pulled freshman netminder Joseph Woll before sophomore Bobo Carpenter put the finishing touches on the win with an empty-netter.
- Oettinger made 14 saves in both the first and third periods and added six more in the middle stanza to pick up his fourth shutout of the season and allow the Terriers to secure their first weekend sweep of the Eagles since the 2001-02 campaign.
GAME NOTES
- BU is now 8-1-1 over its past 10 games and owner of a six-game win streak.

- Freshman Clayton Keller extended his point streak to eight games (5g, 8a) with an assist on Forsbacka Karlsson's goal.
- Sophomore Jordan Greenway earned two assists and has now tallied at least one helper in each of the past six contests.
