ALLSTON, Mass. - After sweeping through doubles, Harvard claimed five singles points in straight sets to defeat the Boston University men's tennis team, 6-1, on Sunday evening at the Murr Tennis Courts.

- Harvard cruised to a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles but had to work for the other two wins, edging BU at No. 2 in a tiebreaker and then posting a 6-4 victory in the No. 3 slot.
- After coming up just short at No. 2 doubles in a 7-6(1) loss, senior Jake De Vries pulled out a 7-6, 2-6, 10-7 win at No. 4 singles for the Terriers' lone point.
- Seniors Jay Leelavanich (#2) and Mario Sandoval (#5) forced a tiebreaker in their respective match but were unable to avoid a straight-set defeat.
- The Terriers will next face Dartmouth on Friday, March 3 at the Winchester Indoor Tennis Club in Winchester, Mass.
- Doubles action will begin at 4 p.m.
