Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS - The Boston University men's and women's cross country teams were recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic Teams, as announced on Thursday.
The men's squad, which finished 10th at the NCAA Northeast Regional in 2016, combined for a 3.40 grade-point average, while the women's team held an impressive 3.52 GPA. To qualify for the distinction, a team must boast a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Three Terriers were honored by the Patriot League in 2016 for their terrific contributions both athletically and academically. Senior Matti Groll and sophomore Alexander Seal of the men's team earned Academic All-Patriot League awards, as did sophomore Courtney Breiner from the women's team.
