Cook Named to Hockey East All-Rookie Team

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Freshman Abby Cook of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team, the league announced on Wednesday.

Cook has been one of the Terriers' most consistent blue liners all season. She led all Hockey East freshmen as a plus-17 during the regular-season, a number that was also second among all league defensemen. She entered the conference tournament having tallied four goals and 10 assists for 14 points, most among all BU rookies.

This is the ninth straight season a Terrier has been named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. Cook enters this weekend with 15 points (4g, 11a) and a plus-18 rating.

In addition, it was announced on Wednesday that junior Victoria Bach was the conference scoring champion. In 24 league games, she tallied a conference-best 19 goals and added 16 assists to lead all players with 35 points.

BU will host Northeastern on Saturday in a league semifinal contest scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
